Jeff Pollard
Founder
Mr. Pollard has lived near the ocean his whole life and the environment has always been a big passion of his. Studying at University of California, Santa Barbara gave him the opportunity to work with anthropologist in the Soloman Islands. Living in L.A. has shown him that pollution is a big concern and wants to help reduce it where he can. He came up with the idea for Solar Power to the People when a friend reached out on social media asking for donations for a new cell phone and he thought: "Why can't we do the same thing to help the environment?"
Rachel Hershberg
Secretary
Ms. Hershberg has a B.A. in Psychology from Drew University and an M.A. in Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has spent the last 12 years focused on non-profit fundraising, community outreach and volunteer development for organizations like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She is excited to share her non-profit skills with SP2P and is happy to live in California where we support environmental protection initiatives.
